The year 804 - Following the victory of Charlemagne and his troops at the battle of Montuzet, a precious object was left in the monastery in tribute to this triumph.

The monks in charge took care of it century after century, until the destruction of the monastery during the French Revolution.

Unfortunately, no trace of this priceless treasure ever since. The people of Plassac strongly believe in the local legend which says that this object is still in the village and at Monconseil-Gazin, we think it might even be found on our estate ...
